SkyTrak ST MAX: radar plus photometric cameras

Dual Doppler radar and photometric cameras for ball and club data.

A home simulator in a UK garage or spare room asks different things of a launch monitor than the driving range does. Space behind and in front of the ball is limited, the ball only flies a few metres into a net, and lighting is artificial. Units that read the ball at impact with cameras, or combine cameras with radar, tend to cope better with short ball flight than radar-only units that track the ball through the air. Software is the other half: some units include course play, others offer a free tier with paid extras. This guide compares launch monitors that state indoor use or simulation, using only listing facts: technology, indoor use, spin data, simulation software and what comes in the box. Measure your room before you choose.
