Our take
Downhill control
Golfted lists downhill control that stops the trolley gaining speed on descents. With a remote trolley running ahead of you, that is the feature that prevents a loaded bag from rolling away down a steep bank towards a pond or the next green.
Battery and freewheel
The lithium battery is rated for at least 27 to 36 holes per charge, which covers a full round with spare. The wheels can be set to freewheel, so you can push the trolley by hand if the battery runs out or you want to save charge on a flat practice nine.
Frame and weight
The frame is stainless steel and weighs 12.5 kg without the battery, according to the listing. That is two kilograms more than the aluminium GT-AR, but steel has a solid feel and keeps its finish in wet weather. The wheels are 12 inches and the listed dimensions are 65 x 35 x 25 cm.
The listing does not say whether the frame folds, and Golfted sells a separate foldable steel model, so assume this one is the rigid design.

Verdict
Choose the GT-R if you want a stainless steel remote trolley with clear downhill control and battery figures, and you have room for a rigid frame. If you need it to fold, the Golfted GT-FR is the steel option that does, and if you want twin motors for hills, look at the Golfted ASR.
