The CaddyLite suits walkers who want a stable three wheeler that collapses without fuss and arrives with a full set of holders already fitted. Its standout is the combination of a patented semi-automatic one-click fold with a very wide 32 inch body, so it promises to be both compact in the boot and planted on a side slope.

Our take

The one-click fold and folded size

Caddytek describes a patented one-click design that folds the trolley automatically to 16 x 14 x 21 inches, which is roughly 41 x 36 x 53 cm. That is a squat, cube-like package, shorter than the Clicgear 4.5 and the Rovic, so it should drop into smaller boots and even sit in a car footwell on some models.

Semi-automatic here means the frame does most of the collapsing once the release is pressed. The listing does not mention any locking strap for the folded state, so it is worth checking how it holds shut when you lift it.

Wheels, frame and stability

The listing calls the 32 inch width the best in its class for stability and pairs it with large, low-profile EVA foam wheels: 10.5 inches at the front and 11.5 inches at the rear. EVA tyres cannot puncture and need no pumping, which is the zero maintenance claim made in the bullets.

Weight is given as 18 lbs, or 8.21 kg in the product dimensions, with an aluminium frame. The open dimensions are listed as 119.38 x 81.28 x 101.6 cm. A wide base is useful on cambered fairways but does take more room on narrow paths beside the green.

Accessories and bag fit

Out of the box Caddytek lists a scorecard holder, phone and GPS holder, storage compartment, cup holder, umbrella holder, D-rings and a mesh net. A universal upper bag holder plus adjustable straps are meant to stop stand bags and cart bags twisting. A magnetic steel pad is listed under features, handy for a magnetic rangefinder.

What is missing from the listing is any mention of a brake, which matters if you often stop on slopes. The Qwik-Fold and the PowaKaddy Micra both list a foot brake.

Against the Newfly and the Motocaddy Z1

The Newfly one click quotes almost identical folded dimensions, also lists a parking switch under the handle and is under 8.6 kg. The CaddyLite counters with its wider stance and the longer accessory list. In the broader push trolley guide, the Motocaddy Z1 is far lighter at 4.53 kg, so anyone prioritising a light lift should look there.

Verdict

The CaddyLite is a good fit for golfers who want a stable, small-folding trolley with every holder included and no tyre maintenance. If a stated brake is essential, the Qwik-Fold or PowaKaddy Micra list one, and the Motocaddy Z1 is the pick when weight is the main concern.
