The Wingman 2 suits golfers who mainly want music and a spoken yardage at the press of a button, and who do not want to think about charging mid round. Its headline is battery life: Bushnell quotes more than 14 hours, now with a battery life indicator so you know where you stand before you set off.

Our take
Getting distances
Yardages come through the upgraded BITE magnetic remote, which you can keep in a pocket or stick to the trolley. Press it and the speaker reads out the distance. The bullets describe audible distances only, so plan on hearing numbers rather than reading a map.
Custom sound bites are mentioned too, which some groups enjoy on the first tee and others will never use.
Audio and extras
The listing promises premium audio quality, wireless pairing with other Wingman models for a surround effect, and a built-in microphone for taking calls. That makes it as much a general Bluetooth speaker as a golf gadget, which matters if you also want to use it at home or in the garden.
What comes in the bundle
This PlayBetter bundle includes the Wingman 2 speaker, the BITE remote control, a USB charging cable and a neoprene protective pouch with a clip. The pouch is handy if the speaker spends time loose in a bag between rounds.
The listing does not give a weight, and the course count is described only as worldwide.
Who it will not suit
Anyone who likes to see a hole layout or hazard carry numbers will find the Wingman 2 limiting, because nothing in the listing describes a display for that. It also relies on the remote: lose the BITE remote and getting yardages becomes awkward. Golfers on courses that ask for silence on the fairways may find a speaker based device less useful than a watch or a handheld.
Against the other Wingman models
The Wingman Mini is smaller with a stated 10 hour battery. The Wingman View adds an LCD screen for hazard numbers. The Wingman 2 trades any visual detail for the longest stated runtime of the Bushnell speakers in this comparison.
Verdict
The Wingman 2 is the one to buy if spoken yardages and music are all you need and battery life is your worry. If you want to see hazard distances, step up to the Wingman View, and if size and weight matter more than runtime, the Wingman Mini is the smaller choice.
